Full job description
The specialist supports country offices with risk analysis, contingency and preparedness planning, emergency response design, humanitarian coordination, information and situation analysis, capacity development, surge and rapid-assessment support, operational oversight, humanitarian access and localization strategies, appeals and donor engagement, inter-agency coordination and regional crisis-management mechanisms.
Requirements & qualifications
Requires an advanced university degree in social sciences, public administration, law, public health, nutrition, international relations, business administration or another related discipline, plus at least eight years of progressively responsible national and international experience in programme or project development, planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and administration. Fluency in English and French is required. Emergency-response management training, developing-country and humanitarian experience are desirable.
