Job Title: Loans Officer – Harare (1 Post) / Loans Officer – Bulawayo (1 Post) Job Location: Harare and Bulawayo, Zimbabwe Closing Date: 28 September 2026 Work Format: Full Time
1. Loans Officer – Harare
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Loans Officer at the EmpowerBank Harare Branch. Qualified and experienced candidates are invited to apply.
The candidate shall be responsible for assessing, recommending, processing, monitoring and recovering loans.
Loan Processing
- Identify potential clients.
- Receive loan applications.
- Conduct loan assessments and make recommendations.
- Prepare loan contracts and facilitate the signing process by clients.
- Maintain updated records of loans.
- Process loan disbursements.
Marketing Bank Products
- Identify business opportunities.
- Sell Bank products, including Bancassurance, account opening and MPOS machines.
- Manage loan client relationships.
Loan Repayment
- Conduct daily loan repayment collection.
- Serve demand letters to delinquent loans.
- Monitor own loan portfolio.
Financial Literacy Training
- Train clients on proposal writing and business management.
- Open savings accounts.
Qualifications And Experience
- Degree in Banking & Finance, Agriculture or related Business degree.
- Three years’ experience as a Loans Officer in the banking or microfinance sector.
- Clean driver’s licence is a MUST.
2. Loans Officer – Bulawayo
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Loans Officer at the EmpowerBank Bulawayo Branch. Qualified and experienced candidates are invited to apply.
The candidate shall be responsible for assessing, recommending, processing, monitoring and recovering loans.
Qualifications And Experience
- Degree in Banking & Finance, Agriculture or related Business degree.
- Three years’ experience as a Loans Officer in the banking or microfinance sector.
- Clean driver’s licence is a MUST.
- Knowledge of the Ndebele language is an added advantage.
- Candidates in Bulawayo and Midlands provinces are encouraged to apply.
