This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Engenheiro de Software Sr based in Brazil. This role focuses on developing and maintaining sophisticated decision engines and business rules using FICO Blaze Advisor. You will design, implement, test, and optimize authorization rules that support critical business decision-making processes. The position combines software engineering, business rules modeling, systems integration, and production support. You will work closely with business and technical teams to translate requirements into reliable and scalable decision flows. Your work will contribute to the availability, performance, governance, and continuous evolution of high-volume decision systems. The role offers a remote environment with opportunities to work on complex technology challenges and impactful solutions. Experience in financial services, payments, or high-volume authorization environments is considered an advantage.

Develop, configure, maintain, and enhance decision engines and business rules using FICO Blaze Advisor, including Rule Studio and Rule Maintenance Application (RMA). Implement and evolve prior authorization rules while ensuring alignment with business requirements. Design and maintain complex decision logic, including decision tables, decision trees, scorecards, and ruleflows. Ensure the availability, performance, scalability, and reliability of implemented decision solutions. Analyze, test, and validate business rules and decision flows to ensure accuracy and operational quality. Identify and mitigate operational risks associated with decision engines and business rule execution. Support continuous improvements to authorization and decision-making processes. Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to gather, clarify, and detail requirements. Monitor production rules and support incident resolution, troubleshooting, and necessary adjustments. Document functionalities, configurations, rule changes, and technical implementations. Contribute to the governance, quality, stability, and continuous evolution of decision engines and business rules. Requirements: Strong experience developing, configuring, and supporting solutions using FICO Blaze Advisor, including Rule Studio and Rule Maintenance Application (RMA). Solid knowledge of business rule modeling and architecture, including decision tables, decision trees, scorecards, and ruleflows. Strong Java development knowledge for integration with decision engines. Experience developing and supporting integrations through REST and SOAP APIs. Knowledge of data exchange and communication formats such as JSON and XML. Strong SQL knowledge for querying, integrating, and optimizing relational databases. Experience working with Oracle, PostgreSQL, and/or SQL Server databases. Ability to analyze, develop, test, and maintain complex business rules. Experience supporting, monitoring, and evolving decision engines in production environments. Previous experience with prior authorization environments, payment systems, or high-volume financial platforms is a plus. Knowledge of microservices architecture, messaging technologies such as Kafka or RabbitMQ, and CI/CD pipelines is a plus. Benefits: Full-time employment. 100% remote work model.
