About The Role Yuno is looking for an Engineering Manager to lead our Integrations team — a group of engineers responsible for connecting Yuno's platform to PSPs, acquirers, and payment gateways worldwide. You'll own the technical direction and delivery of a critical part of Yuno's payment infrastructure, while building, mentoring, and scaling a high-performing engineering team in a fast-moving, global environment. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll combine technical expertise, people management, and deep payments knowledge to build scalable and reliable solutions that power global commerce. You're not just managing a team — you're shaping the technical foundation that enables Yuno to connect merchants with payment providers around the world. You'll work at the intersection of engineering, payments, and product, solving complex integration challenges and ensuring our systems are scalable, maintainable, secure, and built to perform at global scale. Your Contribution Will Be Technical leadership — lead the technical evolution of Yuno's APIs and payment integrations, setting architectural direction and engineering standards Team leadership — hire, mentor, coach, and develop engineers, fostering a high-performing and collaborative engineering culture Architecture and development — own system and integration architecture connecting backend services and payment flows, while contributing hands-on to development, architecture decisions, and code reviews Engineering excellence — drive best practices in API design, testing, performance, security, and maintainability Cross-functional collaboration — partner with Product, Backend, and Payments teams to align technical solutions with business and merchant needs Scalability and reliability — ensure solutions are scalable, resilient, well-documented, and capable of supporting enterprise merchants and global payment volumes Technical mentorship — provide engineers with technical guidance and architectural direction, helping the team grow its technical capabilities Skills You Need Minimum Qualifications Engineering leadership — proven experience managing and growing engineering teams, including hiring, coaching, and performance management Technical decision-making — strong ability to drive technical decisions and manage competing priorities in a fast-moving environment Payments expertise — experience in payments companies, payments-related teams, or working with PSP integrations Payments infrastructure — deep experience with payments infrastructure, including network tokens, routing, and transaction optimization Backend engineering — solid hands-on backend engineering experience, with proficiency in Java, Golang, Kotlin, or similar languages Architecture — strong understanding of microservices, event-driven architectures, APIs, and integration patterns Databases — experience working with SQL and relational databases Security — knowledge of secure software development practices and OWASP principles AI-first development — experience setting standards for AI-assisted coding, automated testing, and code generation using LLMs and tools like Claude Code or similar Agile delivery — experience delivering in agile environments and adapting processes to what actually works for the team Communication — excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders English — advanced proficiency required What We Offer at Yuno Competitive Compensation Remote Work — you can work from everywhere Home Office Bonus — a one-time allowance to set up your ideal home office Work Equipment Stock Options Health Plan wherever you are Flexible Days Off
