We are looking for an Engineering Manager, Mobile to lead the cross-functional team responsible for building and evolving the Boss Revolution: Calling App, the mobile application, which includes International Calling, Mobile Top-up, and Money Transfer services, supports IDT's mission of enabling people to keep in touch and share resources with family and friends worldwide. As an Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for building a high-performing engineering organization while partnering closely with Product, Design, Operations, Compliance, Customer Success, and business stakeholders. You will ensure the team delivers secure, scalable, and reliable software that serves enterprise customers. The technology stack: K8S / EKS AWS Terraform Go / Java NoSql (Couchbase, MongoDB) GitHub Actions / ArgoCD Requirements: Proven Leadership Experience: At least 3 years of experience leading cross-functional, agile development teams, ideally in a product-driven environment. Technical Background: Solid hands-on experience as a software engineer. Hands-on experience in mobile application development or experience managing mobile development teams is a must. DevOps and Automation Skills: Familiarity with continuous integration, automated testing, release management, and performance monitoring. Strong Organizational Skills: Ability to effectively prioritize, plan, and perform under pressure or in uncertain situations. Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field. Talent Development: Experience in hiring and nurturing high-performing engineering teams. Language Proficiency: Good command of English, at B2 level or higher.
People Management:
Recruit and retain top engineering talent.
Conduct regular one-on-ones to support growth and assess performance.
Lead and mentor engineers, fostering learning and collaboration.
Address team well-being and prevent burnout.
Maintain engineering culture standards.
Delivery Management:
Optimize team structure and resource allocation based on priorities and strengths.
Manage timelines and deliverables for high-quality, on-time delivery.
Improve engineering processes for better efficiency and quality.
Drive agile practices and continuous improvement.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on strategic initiatives.
Ensure clear stakeholder communication and alignment.
Align engineering with company objectives and business value.
Engineering Management:
Maintain high code quality and architectural standards.
Guide technical decisions to align with company standards and goals.
Drive innovation and technical improvements.
Lead technical discussions and decision-making.
Convert initiatives into team tasks and track progress.
Proactively identify and mitigate technical risks.
Work with Compliance on regulatory requirements and audits.
Conduct thorough incident reviews to address root causes.

Requirements & qualifications
Requires at least 3 years of experience leading cross-functional agile development teams, a hands-on software-engineering background, mobile-development or mobile-team management experience, CI/CD and automation familiarity, a related bachelor's degree and English at B2 level or higher.
