English QA Audio Rater

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an English QA Audio Rater based in Canada. As an English QA Audio Rater, you will help ensure the quality, consistency, and accuracy of audio rating work during the early phase of a new program. You will audit a portion of production output, identify inconsistencies in how ratings are applied, and help maintain alignment across the rating team. The role requires strong attention to detail and sound judgment when reviewing audio assessments. You will provide clear, actionable feedback to help raters improve and stay calibrated. Working independently in a freelance environment, you will contribute directly to the quality and reliability of the overall rating process. This is a focused opportunity for someone who enjoys quality assurance, structured evaluation, and identifying patterns in data or human judgments.

Audit approximately 30% of production output during the initial pilot phase. Review rater output to identify calibration issues, inconsistent scoring, and potential quality concerns. Identify patterns in rating discrepancies and flag areas requiring correction or clarification. Provide clear, constructive, and actionable feedback to raters to improve consistency and accuracy. Complete required onboarding and training before the production pool is fully launched. Work independently to support quality standards throughout the pilot and early-stage program. Requirements: Strong attention to detail and a consistent approach to judgment and evaluation. Ability to identify patterns of miscalibration or inconsistent scoring across multiple ratings. Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain quality issues and provide clear feedback. Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities effectively in a pilot or early-stage environment. Fluency in Canadian English and familiarity with the language and linguistic conventions of the Canadian market. Previous experience in quality assurance, auditing, rating, content evaluation, or a similar role is a plus. Benefits: US$31 per hour. Freelance contract. Approximately 10 hours per week.
