A free online sustainability hackathon for Gulf-based students and young innovators aged 18+, including participants in Kuwait, focused on AI, connectivity and sustainability solutions.

Registration is open for teams of 1–10. The online hackathon runs 2–5 November 2026. Three challenge tracks cover AI for Impact, Connected Planet and Connected People. Winning teams enter the six-month Build for Earth accelerator from January to June 2027 and are invited to present at Ericsson's GITEX Global award ceremony in Dubai in December 2026.
Eligibility requirements
Students and young innovators across the Gulf who are age 18 or older and of legal adult age in their home country; Ericsson also invites startups, university students and innovators. Kuwait is explicitly included among eligible Gulf countries.

- Build a complementary team early and assign product, engineering, design, research and presentation responsibilities clearly.

- Prepare the repository, pitch deck, demo video and submission links before the final hours so upload or platform problems do not invalidate the entry.
- Check whether travel, finalist presentations, team-size limits or mandatory attendance apply before committing.
