The HIMAFI ITB event runs three main branches: Physics Olympiad, Science Project Competition and Industrial Case Competition. The official 2026 timeline lists registration Wave 2 from 30 August to 19 September and Wave 3 from 20 to 30 September, followed by selection in October–November and the Grand Final/Main Event on 28–29 November 2026 at ITB. Eligibility requirements
The ITB announcement describes Industrial Case Competition for D3/D4/S1 or equivalent participants, Physics Olympiad for SMP/SMA or equivalent participants, and Science Project Competition for SMA or equivalent participants. The event portal summarizes the main branches more narrowly as individual SMA Physics Olympiad, team SMA Science Project and team S1 Industrial Case. Applicants should use the branch-specific guide for the controlling education-level and team rules.
Tips for this competition
Practical Job and Scholarship guidance. These tips do not replace official rules or create new eligibility requirements.
- Study the scoring criteria and previous winners before deciding what evidence, prototype, essay, research or portfolio will best support the entry.
- Confirm country, age, team, education and organization restrictions and whether one person may enter multiple submissions.
- Follow the required file format, word/time limits and naming rules exactly; technical non-compliance can disqualify a strong entry.
- Keep proof of submission and submit before the deadline rather than relying on the final hour.
Verification notes
Verified against the current EUREKA! ITB 2026 event portal and ITB's 4 September 2026 open-registration announcement. Both support a final registration wave ending 30 September 2026 and a total prize pool of IDR 30,000,000. The two official pages summarize education levels slightly differently, so the record preserves that discrepancy instead of silently selecting one formulation. No closing clock or timezone is stated, so only deadline_date is stored.
