The European Court of Auditors and European University Institute offer up to two €5,000 research grants for eligible early-career researchers using the Historical Archives of the European Union in Florence.

Each €5,000 grant covers research expenses including one round trip to Florence and accommodation during use of the Historical Archives. The grant is paid in two instalments: €2,000 at the start of research and €3,000 after submission of the required research essay.
Eligibility requirements
Applicants must be nationals of an EU Member State. Eligible applicants include Master's and doctoral candidates, postdoctoral researchers, and early-career academics who completed their Master's or doctorate within the past 10 years and currently hold an academic post. Research must relate to EU public finances, EU policies or accountability and require use of HAEU archival sources. Sound knowledge of English and French is expected.
