Overview

Executive Head of Coaching and Programming

Full job description

Executive Head of Coaching and Programming     Department:  DSOA, Arts Portfolio (Product & Strategy)   Reports To: VP - Product & Strategy, Arts   Location:  Austin, TX or Indianapolis, IN - Hybrid     Overview   At TogetherWork, we set a high bar for clarity, collaboration, and execution. While our Product & Strategy leaders own portfolio outcomes, our individual contributors are equally essential, bringing curiosity, precision, and a commitment to excellence to every initiative. We work in deep partnership with Engineering, Revenue, CX, Operations, and Support, sharing accountability for delivering stable, modern, insight-driven products that help our customers thrive.   We expect team members to bring strong analytical thinking, operational rigor, and a willingness to roll up their sleeves to solve complex problems. Hard work is the norm, not for recognition, but for the greater good of our customers and the long-term health of our company. We embrace innovation, including responsible AI usage, to deepen insight, improve execution, and accelerate impact.   This role reflects those expectations: collaborative, data-informed, customer-centered, and grounded in professionalism and positive intent.   Role Summary   The Executive Head of Coaching and Programming sets the tone for DSOA, guiding the curriculum and ensuring member engagement and satisfaction. The role owns the Inner Circle member experience and DSOA's coaching function end to end: recruiting and developing the coach network, setting and enforcing quality standards, and designing the compensation structure that keeps top coaches.    The Executive Head of Coaching and Programming runs the day-to-day curriculum and teaching calendar and owns the people and quality bar behind the Inner Circle member experience, and partners with the VP, Product & Strategy on setting direction for both coaching and curriculum. Success in this role requires strong people leadership, a sharp eye for coaching quality, fluency in what it takes to grow a business, and a passion for the dance and performing-arts community DSOA serves. It also takes the judgment to build systems where only informal, ad hoc processes exist today.   Key Responsibilities   Member Experience   Oversee the member subject matter experts across onboarding, renewals, and curriculum, aligning their work to a consistent Inner Circle standard.   Coach Recruitment, Onboarding & Compensation   Own end-to-end coach recruiting: sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding new coaches and mentors.   Define clear role expectations, standards, and coaching guidelines so every Inner Circle member receives a dependable experience.   Coaching Quality & Performance   Build and run a coaching-call quality assurance process, including a scoring rubric, spot audits, and structured coach feedback loops.   Observe, evaluate, and develop coaches, providing feedback that continuously raises the bar.   Identify and resolve underperformance in the coach roster, up to and including offboarding coaches who do not meet the quality bar, and recognize and retain top talent.   Programming & Curriculum Direction   Set coaching and programming standards in partnership with the broader team and the Mentor and Coach network, translating them into curriculum direction.   Anchor coaching and curriculum in real business growth - ensuring Inner Circle members get concrete guidance on enrollment, revenue, and profitability, not just craft, so the program measurably helps them grow their studios.   Maintain coaching resources, playbooks, and best practices.   Performance & Reporting   Track coaching metrics such as utilization, quality, coach retention, and member satisfaction tied to coaching.   Translate coaching data and member feedback into recommendations that improve the program.   Report regularly on coaching program health and outcomes to TogetherWork leadership   AI Fluency & Improvement Mindset   Use AI tools to streamline recruiting, quality review, and reporting workflows.   Identify automation or process improvements that accelerate execution.   Champion operational excellence and continuous improvement across the coaching function.   Qualifications   Required Qualifications   5+ years managing a coaching, training, or membership-services team, ideally in a subscription, membership, or franchise-style business.   Hands-on experience growing a business - either running your own or heavily advising, coaching, or consulting owners through growth - so you can credibly set the bar for how coaches help members build profitable, sustainable studios.   Track record building or overhauling a quality assurance or performance-scoring process from scratch.   Experience designing compensation structures, or close partnership with People or Finance on comp design.   Comfortable evaluating recorded or live calls against a rubric and giving direct, constructive coach feedback.   Strong program management skills, comfortable owning a recurring calendar of coaching and training calls across a distributed coach network.   Data-driven mindset with the ability to translate analytics and member feedback into coaching improvements.   A genuine understanding of and passion for the dance and performing-arts world. You don't need to have come from it, but you must get what motivates studio owners and artists - and care deeply about helping them succeed.   Experience using AI tools to accelerate work or improve operational efficiency.   Why This Role Matters   Coaches are the human face of the DSOA Inner Circle. When Inner Circle members feel supported by expert, engaged coaches, they stay, upgrade, and advocate for the community. The Executive Head of Coaching and Programming makes the Inner Circle member experience dependable at scale for the first time, giving DSOA a single owner for coach quality, compensation, and growth, and protecting the relationships that keep Inner Circle members renewing year after year.     CCPA Disclosure Notice: Click Here
