Job Title- Facilities Manager
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Facilities Manager to oversee the maintenance, operations, and safety of our buildings and premises. The ideal candidate will ensure that all facilities, systems, and services operate efficiently, comply with local regulations, and meet the highest standards of safety, functionality, and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the daily operations and maintenance of all building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, and security systems.
Plan, implement, and manage preventive and corrective maintenance schedules to ensure smooth operation and minimize downtime.
Supervise and coordinate with in-house maintenance teams and external contractors for repairs, upgrades, and service delivery.
Manage facility budgets, track expenses, and ensure cost-effective use of resources.
Conduct regular inspections to assess building condition, identify maintenance needs, and ensure compliance with UAE health, safety, and environmental standards.
Oversee facility renovation and refurbishment projects, ensuring timely and quality completion within budget.
Manage vendor contracts, performance, and procurement of facility-related materials and services.
Develop and implement policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for maintenance, safety, and energy efficiency.
Ensure compliance with all Abu Dhabi Municipality, Civil Defense, and other regulatory authority requirements.
Prepare regular reports on facility performance, maintenance activities, and budget utilization.
Lead emergency response planning and ensure readiness for incidents such as fire, power failure, or equipment malfunction.
Support sustainability initiatives, including energy-saving measures, waste management, and water conservation.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, or Facilities Management (Masters degree is an advantage).
Minimum 710 years of experience in facilities management, building maintenance, or property operations in the UAE.
Strong technical knowledge of MEP systems, BMS, and building safety standards.
Proven experience managing maintenance teams, service providers, and large-scale facilities or mixed-use developments.
Sound understanding of UAE health & safety regulations and compliance frameworks.
Excellent leadership, budgeting, and project management skills.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Proficiency in facility management software and MS Office applications.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Fluency in English; Arabic language is a plus.
