We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Facility Specialist to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In this role, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day facility operations, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment, and coordinating with vendors and contractors. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of facility management and compliance with local regulations.
- Oversee daily facility operations, including maintenance, repairs, and preventive care of building systems and equipment
- Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and service providers to ensure timely completion of maintenance and repair work
- Conduct regular facility inspections to identify maintenance needs, safety hazards, and areas for improvement
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of facility maintenance activities, work orders, and equipment records
- Ensure compliance with local Saudi building codes, safety regulations, and organizational policies
- Manage facility budgets and track expenses related to maintenance, repairs, and supplies
- Respond promptly to facility-related emergencies and coordinate appropriate emergency procedures
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize equipment downtime
- Analyze facility performance data and recommend cost-saving and efficiency improvements
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders regarding facility status, projects, and concerns
- Manage space allocation and coordinate facility modifications or renovations as needed
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in facility management, building operations, or related field
- Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems
- Proficiency with facility management software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Knowledge of safety regulations, OSHA standards, and local Saudi building codes
- Vendor and contractor management experience
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and respond effectively to urgent facility issues
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance practices and equipment troubleshooting
- Preferred: Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) software
- Preferred: Knowledge of energy management and sustainability practices in facility operations
- Preferred: CAD software proficiency for space planning and facility layout design
