Overview
Mozambique's FNI is accepting 2026 requests to fund publication fees for peer-reviewed scientific articles and scientifically reviewed books.
Complete grant details
The FNI publication scheme, supported with the Embassy of Sweden and Sida, helps cover publication fees for accepted peer-reviewed scientific articles and scientifically/editorially reviewed books. The requested amount may not exceed MZN 70,000 for each article or MZN 120,000 for each book. Approval depends on available funds.
Eligibility requirements
Researchers and students, whether or not affiliated with a research or higher-education institution, who have a scientific article or book approved for publication and can supply the required acceptance/review and cost documentation.
Tips for this grant
Practical Job and Scholarship guidance. These tips do not replace official rules or create new eligibility requirements.
- Check eligibility, funding coverage, study/project level and every required document before investing time in the application.
- Prepare transcripts, references, language tests, proposal/motivation statement and proof documents early.
- Separate the scholarship deadline from any university/program admission deadline; they may be different.
- Treat “fully funded” as a source fact only when the official provider explicitly confirms the covered costs.
Verification notes
Verified on the official FNI Indico call and registration page. Registration is currently open with a 31 October 2026 deadline. Funding approval is explicitly subject to fund availability.
Job and Scholarship is the discovery and verification layer. Confirm eligibility, dates, salary/funding and application instructions on the original source before submitting anything.
