Overview

The 2026 FNR BRIDGES call supports public-private research collaborations between Luxembourg research institutions and national or international companies, with awards up to EUR 500,000.

Complete grant details

BRIDGES funds jointly developed projects linking public research and industry to promote innovation, access advanced industrial technology and expertise, strengthen testbeds and living labs, and support research-based value creation. Projects may run for 12–36 months and can receive up to EUR 500,000. Luxembourg-based company partners must cover 15% of eligible project costs; international company partners must cover 30%. Applications are submitted through the FNR Online Grant Management System.

Eligibility requirements

Eligible research-side beneficiaries include Luxembourg public institutions where research is a legal mission and qualifying accredited non-profit research organisations. Each project should be jointly developed by the applicant, the collaborating company and the public research partner, subject to the BRIDGES call rules.

Tips for this grant

Practical Job and Scholarship guidance. These tips do not replace official rules or create new eligibility requirements.

  1. Check eligibility, funding coverage, study/project level and every required document before investing time in the application.
  2. Prepare transcripts, references, language tests, proposal/motivation statement and proof documents early.
  3. Separate the scholarship deadline from any university/program admission deadline; they may be different.
  4. Treat “fully funded” as a source fact only when the official provider explicitly confirms the covered costs.

Verification notes

Primary FNR programme page checked directly. FNR labels the deadline '29-09-2026 14:00 CET'; the structured offset preserves the literal CET label (+01:00).
