TREK supports technology-readiness progression and proof-of-concept work, while JUMP supports projects reaching TRL 6 and beyond toward commercialisation outcomes such as licensing or start-up formation. TREK projects run for 12 months and may receive up to EUR 200,000. JUMP projects run for 12–18 months and may receive up to EUR 250,000, with a possible additional EUR 50,000 Entrepreneur in Residence add-on from the Ministry of Economy. Applications are submitted through the FNR Online Grant Management System.
Eligibility requirements
The programme lists postdoctoral and junior researchers, established researchers and leading researchers as relevant career stages. FNR beneficiary rules apply; for research programmes including JUMP, eligible beneficiaries include Luxembourg public institutions with research as a legal mission and certain accredited non-profit research organisations, with programme-specific conditions.
