Full job description
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Footwear Designer to lead the design and development of men's footwear collections. The role requires strong expertise in CAD design, trend forecasting, and end-to-end product development within a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop innovative men's footwear collections aligned with brand identity and seasonal trends
- Create detailed CAD sketches and technical drawings for product development
- Conduct market research and trend analysis to identify emerging styles, materials, and colors
- Collaborate closely with merchandising, sourcing, and production teams to ensure design feasibility and timely delivery
- Develop mood boards, concepts, and color palettes for each season
- Select and source appropriate materials, trims, and components
- Work with vendors and manufacturers to ensure design accuracy and quality standards
- Oversee product lifecycle from concept to final production
- Ensure all designs meet commercial viability, cost targets, and brand positioning
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Footwear Design, Fashion Design, or related field
- 3–6 years of experience in footwear design, preferably within a retail or apparel brand
- Strong proficiency in CAD tools (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop)
- Solid understanding of footwear construction, materials, and manufacturing processes
- Strong sense of fashion trends, color theory, and consumer preferences
- Experience in men's footwear (casual, formal, sports, or lifestyle categories)
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
