• What we’re working on – Changelog https://www.gumloop.com/changelog Role Overview As one of Gumloop’s first Forward Deployed Engineers, you’ll be embedded with enterprise customers from day one to understand their business, identify how AI can solve their biggest problems, and build the agents to do it. After a contract is signed, you’ll own technical delivery from discovery to deployment, combining hands-on building with practical AI strategy. The work is execution-first. You scope high-value AI opportunities with operators and executives, connect the systems those agents depend on, and measure success by adoption and business impact. As an early member of the team, you’ll also help define how Gumloop partners with enterprise customers to change the way they work. What you’ll do
• Work directly with customer teams and executives to identify and scope high-value AI opportunities.
• Map the process, connect the systems, and structure the data so agents run reliably in the customer's environment.
• Build, test, deploy, and iterate on Gumloop agents, and judge success by adoption and business impact.
• Partner with Customer Success and Education to help customers take ownership, enable broad usage, and keep building without us.
• Turn what you learn in deployments into reusable patterns and concrete feedback for Product and Engineering.
• Travel to customer sites as needed, up to about 30%, and operate through ambiguity without waiting for a perfect spec. What you bring
• ~4+ years of technical experience, with a track record of shipping useful agents or connected systems past a prototype.
• A technical foundation, ideally in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Data Science, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Experience deploying or implementing software in enterprise environments, including process mapping and working with customer data.
• Comfort with JSON, JavaScript, Git, MCPs, and data-structure conversations, enough to build and debug in the field.
• Clear communication with technical and non-technical audiences, from frontline users to executives.
• Judgment under ambiguity: you pick the problem that matters and get hands-on rather than waiting to be scoped.
• Willingness to travel up to 30% for work onsite with customers, flexible to fit your life. Bonus
• Experience in consulting, professional services, or implementation at a high-growth company.
• Prior FDE, solutions engineering, or deployment-engineering work
• Familiarity with agent tooling, MCP servers, and production LLM workflows. BENEFITS
