Full job description
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer (AI Capability Center) based in Canada. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on building AI-powered solutions directly alongside business users. You’ll work within a collaborative delivery pod, translating real business needs into production-ready software. The role combines full-stack development, cloud engineering, generative AI, and close user collaboration. You’ll build and deploy features across AWS and Azure using modern AI models and development tools. Quality is central to the role, with testing and evaluation embedded throughout the delivery lifecycle. You’ll work closely with solution architecture and engagement leadership while maintaining a strong focus on implementation. This is an opportunity to contribute to practical AI transformation projects in a remote environment with meaningful client impact.
Build and deliver full-stack features and AI-powered solutions using Python, AWS, Azure, Claude, and other relevant AI models. Work directly with business users on a day-to-day basis, understanding their needs and iterating on solutions collaboratively. Develop and implement RAG and agent-based capabilities where appropriate to solve business problems. Maintain high standards of software quality by implementing testing, evaluations, and quality controls for delivered features. Translate architectural direction into robust implementations while identifying and communicating gaps or risks in the proposed design. Contribute to agentic development practices, including AI-assisted coding tools and evaluation-driven development pipelines. Collaborate within a multidisciplinary delivery pod, working alongside solution architecture and engagement leadership to deliver solutions effectively. Help identify opportunities to improve development workflows, solution quality, and the practical application of AI technologies. Requirements 3–5 years of professional experience building software, AI solutions, or related technical products. Strong hands-on development skills in Python and experience working with AWS and/or Azure. Experience with front-end development and full-stack engineering practices. Familiarity with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), AI agents, or related generative AI architectures. Exposure to agentic development tools, AI-assisted coding, or evaluation-driven development pipelines is preferred. A strong builder mindset with the ability to work directly with business stakeholders and translate requirements into practical solutions. Ability to work collaboratively, take technical direction, communicate design concerns, and operate effectively in a fast-moving environment. Experience or exposure to healthcare or higher education environments is advantageous. AWS AI Practitioner or Azure AI-900 / AI-102 certification is a plus. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. Benefits Estimated base salary of CAD 115,000–140,000 per year, depending on skills, experience, certifications, market conditions, and other relevant factors. Eligibility for an annual incentive compensation program, with an estimated total compensation range of CAD 132,250–161,000 , including incentive opportunity. Remote work arrangement in Canada. Medical, dental, and vision coverage. Wellness programs and broader employee wellbeing initiatives. Paid time off and paid parental leave. Adoption assistance and additional family-oriented benefits. Retirement savings and employee financial benefits, subject to applicable eligibility requirements. Opportunities to work on practical AI transformation initiatives and develop expertise across modern cloud and AI technologies. Collaborative environment focused on innovation, learning, mentorship, diversity, and inclusion.
