FP&A / Financial Planning Functional Consultant (SAP Finance)

Our partner is looking for a FP&A / Financial Planning Functional Consultant (SAP Finance) based in India. This role offers the opportunity to lead the modernization of financial planning and analysis processes through SAP Finance. You will work closely with Finance, Accounting, business, and technical teams to transform complex planning models into scalable digital solutions. The position focuses on budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and management reporting across key cost and profitability areas. You will play a central role in replacing manual, Excel-driven processes with integrated and automated planning frameworks. The role combines functional consulting expertise with strong financial knowledge and stakeholder engagement. You will also facilitate workshops, translate business needs into system requirements, and deliver actionable insights for leadership. This is a remote contractual opportunity in India, with working hours aligned to the 11:00 AM–8:00 PM IST shift.

Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, business units, and technical teams to understand current budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling processes. Analyze complex Excel-based financial models and business rules, translating them into structured and scalable requirements for SAP Finance solutions. Design and configure integrated FP&A solutions that improve the accuracy, efficiency, and consistency of financial planning. Support the migration of manual planning activities to automated, system-driven platforms, reducing errors and improving process speed. Provide functional expertise across P&L planning, Capital Expenditure (CapEx), Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), and workforce cost management. Develop management reporting solutions that turn financial data into clear and actionable insights for senior leaders and business stakeholders. Facilitate requirements-gathering and validation workshops, ensuring proposed FP&A architectures address complex business needs. Partner with cross-functional teams throughout solution implementation to ensure alignment between financial requirements, business objectives, and technical delivery. Requirements Minimum 6 years of professional experience in Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) or as a Functional Consultant specializing in SAP Finance. Strong hands-on knowledge of SAP Finance, particularly FP&A, budgeting, and forecasting capabilities. Demonstrated expertise in financial modeling, P&L planning, CapEx, COGS, and workforce cost analysis. Proven ability to translate complex Excel-based financial models and business logic into structured, system-driven planning requirements. Experience collaborating with Finance, Accounting, and technical data teams to implement integrated financial solutions. Strong management reporting skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and communicate meaningful strategic insights. Excellent stakeholder management, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating effectively across functional and technical teams. Availability to work on a contractual basis during the 11:00 AM–8:00 PM IST shift. Benefits Competitive compensation of approximately ₹17 LPA . Fully remote working arrangement within India.
