This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Fractional Media Director (Part-Time) based in United States. This role offers senior strategic leadership across a diverse media portfolio spanning both B2B and B2C clients. As a fractional leader, you will shape integrated media strategies while remaining closely connected to campaign execution, client needs, and team development. You will advise senior stakeholders, guide channel investments, and identify opportunities to improve performance and expand media programs. The role covers a broad mix of paid social, search, programmatic, CTV, digital audio, out-of-home, retail media, and emerging channels. You will also help strengthen internal capabilities, establish best practices, and contribute to new business and organic growth. This is a hands-on, flexible engagement designed for an experienced agency media leader who can provide meaningful impact within a lean team environment.

Provide senior strategic oversight across paid social, paid search, programmatic, display, CTV, digital audio, out-of-home, metasearch, retail media, and emerging channels. Serve as a senior media advisor for key client relationships and lead integrated strategies connecting business objectives, audiences, investment, channels, KPIs, and measurement. Guide annual, quarterly, and campaign-specific media planning, including channel mix, audience strategy, investment levels, testing opportunities, and performance optimization. Translate campaign results, marketplace developments, and emerging opportunities into actionable recommendations for clients and internal teams. Lead strategic planning sessions, major presentations, quarterly business reviews, and other senior-level client conversations. Coach and mentor the internal media team, strengthening capabilities in strategy, planning, optimization, analytics, reporting, and client communication. Establish clear roles and accountability across internal team members and specialized external media resources. Review account performance and strategy, helping teams move beyond reporting toward meaningful insights and proactive recommendations. Stay current on media technology, advertising platforms, consumer behavior, privacy, measurement, and AI-enabled media buying. Expand capabilities in retail media and evaluate emerging platforms through disciplined testing and measurement approaches. Provide senior oversight of campaign performance, optimization, budget pacing, investment strategy, reporting, quality assurance, and measurement standards. Partner with leadership, account teams, and Sales on new business, pitches, media strategy, scopes, staffing approaches, management fees, and investment recommendations. Identify organic growth opportunities and contribute to the development of media capabilities, case studies, strategic points of view, and the long-term evolution of the media practice. Requirements: 10+ years of progressive media experience, including significant experience within an advertising, media, digital, or integrated agency environment. Recent hands-on experience with advertising platforms such as Google, Meta, and LinkedIn. Previous experience as a Media Director, Group Media Director, VP of Media, Head of Media, or in a comparable senior leadership position. Demonstrated ability to develop integrated media strategies across multiple channels and platforms. Strong working knowledge of paid social, paid search, programmatic, display, CTV, digital audio, and out-of-home media. Strong understanding of audience strategy, media planning, measurement, attribution, and performance analytics. Experience managing significant media investments and providing strategic counsel to senior client stakeholders. Demonstrated experience managing, mentoring, and developing media professionals, including internal and external specialists. Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and client communication skills. Strong commercial judgment and understanding of agency scope, staffing, client service, and account profitability. Ability to provide consistent leadership, availability, and accountability within a fractional engagement structure. Experience with CPG and consumer brands is preferred. Experience with retail media networks such as Amazon Ads, Walmart Connect, and Kroger Precision Marketing is preferred. Experience in hospitality, travel, multi-location businesses, B2B media strategy, or account-based marketing is a plus. Experience building or expanding an agency media practice and supporting new business or organic account growth is preferred. Strategic mindset with the ability to connect media decisions to broader client business objectives. Proactive and commercially minded approach, with the ability to identify opportunities and recommendations before being asked. Strong coaching and collaboration skills, with the ability to guide teams without taking over their responsibilities. Strong analytical judgment and the ability to turn performance data into meaningful business recommendations. Benefits: Part-time fractional engagement of approximately 4–5 hours per week, or 20 hours per month. Flexible scheduling, with consistent weekly availability required for team meetings, client conversations, strategic planning, and new business opportunities. Primarily remote work environment. Approximately 2–3 internal team meetings per week, totaling no more than 2 hours. Opportunity for in-person participation at the Atlanta office and client meetings when valuable. Initial six-month engagement with potential to extend or expand based on business needs and growth. Opportunity to provide senior-level strategic leadership while maintaining flexibility through a fractional structure. Exposure to diverse B2B and B2C clients, industries, media channels, and emerging advertising technologies.
