Acclaro is currently recruiting Freelance Mobile App Testers across Finland to help test an innovative financial services mobile application. This is a fully remote opportunity that allows you to work independently, complete short weekly assignments, and gain experience in app testing and quality assurance.

No previous software testing experience is necessary. We provide all training materials, step-by-step instructions, and project guidelines to help you succeed.

What You'll Do

As a Freelance Functional App Tester, you will evaluate a financial management mobile application from an end-user perspective and help ensure it functions correctly across real-world environments.

Your Responsibilities

• Execute assigned mobile app testing scenarios
• Follow detailed testing instructions and workflows
• Record your smartphone screen while completing test cases
• Identify and document unexpected app behavior
• Submit screen recordings and concise test reports
• Report issues clearly and accurately in English
• Complete assignments within project deadlines

Project workload

You can expect:

• Approximately 1 testing assignment per week
• Around 30 minutes of work per assignment
• Delivery required within 1 to 2 business days
• Project duration of approximately 2 to 3 months

This project is designed to fit around other professional or academic commitments. Successful participants will enter Acclaro's freelance talent pool and may be considered for future testing and localization projects.

Workload: Around 30 minutes per weekly assignment

Compensation: Paid freelance project. Compensation details will be discussed during the onboarding process.

Requirements

To participate, applicants must meet all of the following requirements.

1. Banking Requirement (Mandatory)

To ensure a realistic testing environment:

• To participate, testers must have access to a personal bank account issued by a financial institution operating in Finland.
• Testing activities involve evaluating authentication and user experience workflows within a secure testing environment. No banking credentials will be collected, stored, or accessed by Acclaro.

Note: Acclaro does not request passwords, PIN codes, banking credentials, or access to financial assets.

2. Mobile Device Requirement

You must own a smartphone running:

• Android 7 or later

This is a mandatory technical requirement for our secure testing environment.

3. Project-specific Requirement

• This project is available to individuals who currently reside in Finland due to testing requirements related to the local banking and mobile ecosystem.
• A Finnish mobile number is required because the application being tested uses Finland-specific authentication and verification workflows.

4. English Language Skills

You should be comfortable:

• Understanding written English instructions
• Following English-language testing guidelines
• Writing brief test reports in English

Please note that while Finland is a multilingual market, project communication and reporting will be conducted in English.

5. Technical Skills

You should be comfortable:

• Installing and using mobile applications
• Following detailed step-by-step instructions
• Identifying unexpected mobile app behavior
• Recording your smartphone screen
• Submitting reports accurately and on time

No previous experience in software testing, QA testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), or mobile application testing is required.

6. Remote Working Requirements

Applicants must have:

• Reliable high-speed internet access
• Their own smartphone device
• A quiet environment for independent work
• The ability to complete assignments within the requested timeframe
