Full job description

This open-ended Research Council of Norway call supports bold basic or applied research in any field. The project manager spends 1–2 years at one or two foreign research organisations and 1–2 years at a Norwegian research organisation, including at least six months in Norway after the final stay abroad. Projects run 36–48 months. A proposed project must start 8–18 months after submission.

Requirements & qualifications

Only approved Norwegian research organisations may submit. The project manager must have submitted a doctoral thesis before application and completed the doctorate before project start; normally no more than seven years may have passed since the PhD defence, subject to specified deductions. The researcher must meet new-mobility rules, have lived or worked in Norway for at least 12 months in the previous seven years, have completed a Master's or PhD at a Norwegian research organisation, and be employed by the Project Owner for the full project.
