Nepali heritage-science researchers can apply for a 5–12 month Fulbright fellowship at the U.S. National Archives Heritage Science Research and Testing Lab in College Park, Maryland.

The fellowship begins from September 2027 and supports 5–12 months of research with National Archives scientists and experts. It is designed for archival science, conservation, preservation and related interdisciplinary heritage-science research. Benefits include J-1 sponsorship, J-1-compliant health benefits, round-trip international travel, a modest living/settling/professional-development stipend and, when applicable, a modest dependent allowance.
Eligibility requirements
Applicants must be Nepalese citizens; U.S. citizens or permanent residents, including dual citizens, are ineligible. A Master's degree is required, with a PhD or equivalent professional experience preferred. Advanced doctoral researchers completing heritage-science dissertation projects may apply. Heritage-science or archival research experience is preferred but not mandatory. Eligible disciplines include heritage/conservation science, preventive preservation, conservation treatment, chemistry, physics, materials science and engineering, and statistics.
