The award permits a flexible start from August 2027 through March 31, 2028. Applicants arrange an appropriate host affiliation and submit supporting affiliation documentation with the application. The official award page lists an estimated USD 2,650 monthly stipend, USD 4,250 in one-time allowances, international travel benefits, health benefits and dependent financial support.
Eligibility requirements
Eligible degree levels are bachelor's, master's and doctoral. Applicants must meet Fulbright U.S. Student citizenship/status rules, demonstrate strong intercultural and leadership skills, submit the required Spanish Foreign Language Evaluation and reach at least intermediate Spanish by the grant start. Residency in the Dominican Republic in the prior year is permitted and Dominican dual citizens are eligible.
