Grantees should plan to arrive between mid-August and early September 2027. The project requires an Ecuadorian host affiliation and an affiliation letter at the application deadline. The official page lists an estimated USD 1,100 monthly stipend plus USD 1,650 in one-time allowances, international travel benefits and health benefits.
Eligibility requirements
Accepted degree levels are bachelor's, master's and doctoral. Applicants must meet Fulbright U.S. Student rules. Residency in Ecuador for six months or more in the prior year is not permitted; Ecuadorian dual citizens are not eligible. A Spanish Foreign Language Evaluation is required and applicants must reach at least intermediate Spanish by the grant start. Previous U.S. Student grant recipients are not eligible.
