Applicants propose an Oman-relevant independent study or research project that can reasonably be completed in ten months. Grants typically follow the September-to-June academic calendar, although flexible starts may be approved. Final affiliations and award clearances require Omani approval.
Eligibility requirements
Applicants must meet Fulbright U.S. Student eligibility, including U.S. citizenship or nationality and the applicable degree requirements by the award start. Bachelor's, master's and doctoral-level applicants are considered. Residence in Oman for six months or more in the year before the grant is not permitted, and dual citizens of Oman are not eligible. Arabic is recommended but not required.
