We are looking for a Functional Analyst to join a project with one of our clients, a global leader in professional information solutions and software. Operating across more than 180 countries, the company develops technology-driven solutions for industries including Healthcare, Tax & Accounting, Financial & Corporate Compliance, and Legal & Regulatory.
This person will work closely with Product, Engineering, and business stakeholders, helping translate business needs into clear functional requirements and supporting the delivery of high-quality software solutions.
Responsabilities:
- Work closely with Product, Engineering, and business stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into clear functional requirements.
- Gather, analyse, and structure requirements for both existing products and new initiatives.
- Create functional specifications, process flows, and other documentation to support software development.
- Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and development teams, ensuring requirements and expected outcomes are clearly understood.
- Collaborate with Agile delivery teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Identify dependencies, risks, gaps, and potential constraints early in the analysis process.
- Support development teams by clarifying requirements and providing the business context behind proposed solutions.
- Communicate technical constraints and solution options clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Develop a strong understanding of the product, business domain, and customer needs.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement and standardisation of analysis practices, documentation, and processes.
- Support testing, validation, and the rollout of new functionalities when required.
- Share knowledge and provide guidance to less experienced team members.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as a Functional Analyst, Business Analyst, or in a similar role within a software/technology environment.
- Strong experience gathering, analysing, and documenting business and functional requirements.
- Previous experience working closely with software development teams in an Agile environment.
- Ability to translate business needs into structured and actionable requirements for technical teams.
- Good understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and basic software testing principles.
- Experience creating functional documentation, process models, user stories, or similar analysis deliverables.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proactive approach to identifying and communicating risks, issues, and improvement opportunities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Ability to take ownership of assigned areas and work autonomously while collaborating within a cross-functional team.
- Fluent English, both written and spoken.
Nice to have:
- Experience working with enterprise software products.
- Knowledge of accounting, finance, tax, or related business domains.
- Familiarity with test automation concepts.
- Experience supporting or mentoring junior team members.
