Austrian participation in the fifth Water4All transnational research call, funding collaborative research on sustainable water management across monitoring, nature-based approaches, infrastructure and governance.

Austrian projects may request up to EUR 400,000 for up to 36 months. Applications require submission to both the Water4All Call Secretariat and FWF. The joint pre-proposal closes 10 November 2026 at 15:00 CET; the Austrian FWF administrative pre-proposal is due 11 November 2026 at 14:00 Vienna local time.
Eligibility requirements
Researchers in water research at universities and non-academic research institutions may participate. Joint proposals require an international consortium spanning at least three participating partner countries, and Austrian applicants must meet FWF Principal Investigator Project requirements and institutional submission requirements.
