FWO's open security-and-defence SBO call supports strategic basic research with security or defence applications.
Complete grant details
Projects can run up to four years. The guideline project budget is about EUR 1.7 million excluding overhead; the call budget is EUR 4.5 million. Acceptable costs are funded at 100% plus 17% host-institution overhead.
Eligibility requirements
Applicants must form an eligible consortium of at least two applying legal entities and meet FWO SBO conditions. The call includes additional security, nationality and knowledge-security requirements described on the official page.
