The Research Foundation – Flanders (FWO) supports senior postdoctoral researchers for three years. Eligibility requirements
Applicants must hold a PhD or recognized equivalent. For the regular senior postdoctoral route, the PhD must normally have been awarded at least three and at most six years before 1 October of the fellowship start year, subject to the FWO regulations and permitted extensions. Applicants must have at least two years of postdoctoral research experience by 1 October 2027, must not previously have held this senior fellowship, and may apply no more than twice for the same fellowship. A supervisor at a Flemish host institution is required, and the supervisor's recommendation letter is mandatory.
