Role This role will work on our supply chain strategy from laboratory development through commercial production, including supplier selection, sourcing strategy, cost modeling, capacity planning, risk management, procurement operations, and supply chain team development. The successful candidate will build the systems, supplier relationships, and organizational capabilities required to support aggressive technology development while creating a scalable foundation for future manufacturing. The position works closely with engineering, R&D, manufacturing, finance, and our leadership team and will play a key role in translating technology roadmaps into executable supply chain plans. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and execute the company's supply chain strategy from product development through commercial manufacturing.
  • Build and scale the supply chain function, including sourcing, procurement, planning, logistics, and supplier management.
  • Identify, qualify, negotiate, and manage strategic suppliers and manufacturing partners.
  • Lead sourcing, commercial negotiations, and supplier agreements to ensure cost, quality, and supply continuity.
  • Develop supply plans that support prototype builds, pilot production, and commercial scale-up.
  • Identify and mitigate supply chain risks while ensuring supply assurance for critical materials and components.
  • Drive cost optimization through strategic sourcing, supplier development, and cost modeling.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, Finance, and Operations to support product launches and production ramp.
  • Establish scalable supply chain processes, systems, and performance metrics.
  • Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing supply chain team. QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Operations, or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience in supply chain, sourcing, operations, manufacturing, or related leadership roles.
  • Proven experience scaling products or manufacturing operations from development through commercial production.
  • Demonstrated success developing and executing sourcing strategies and negotiating strategic supplier agreements.
  • Experience building and managing supplier relationships across a global supply base.
  • Strong analytical skills, including cost modeling, capacity planning, and supply chain risk assessment.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to support suppliers, manufacturing partners, and customers. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience in batteries, energy storage, automotive, advanced manufacturing, electronics, or another complex hardware industry.
  • Experience supporting NPI (New Product Introduction), manufacturing ramp, or contract manufacturing.
