First, What We’re Actually Doing

Full job description

First, What We’re Actually Doing Suger is quickly becoming the end-to-end orchestration system for the fastest-growing sales channels: B2B marketplaces and ecosystems, powered by AI and integrations with the systems businesses already use. Today, we work with 300+ amazing customers, ranging from leading AI companies like the major LLM labs, Decagon, and Glean to large enterprises like Snowflake, Workday, and Intel. We’ve built products customers love and a sales motion that works. Now, we need to pour fuel on it. That's why we're looking for a GTM Engineer to help us scale demand generation through data-driven systems, intelligent automation, and custom-built growth infrastructure.

This isn’t a traditional engineering role - it’s a high-impact position at the intersection of code, data, and go-to-market execution. You’ll be the technical backbone of our growth team, using your skills to build, connect, and automate tools that turn data into actions across our GTM stack.

This is an awesome opportunity to get involved with a growing company that practices continuous innovation, and transforming the landscape of software solutions in the B2B sales market!

We are a Series A start-up, funded by top tier investors, including Threshold VC, Craft Ventures, Intel Capital, and Y-Combinator.

Own and operate the GTM automation engine: Scrape, integrate, and transform data into real-time actions across email marketing, SDR outreach, and web engagement to inform growth strategies and tactics. Manage a technical GTM backlog: Prioritize and execute against an OKR-driven roadmap supporting growth, marketing, and sales objectives. Build outbound and email marketing triggers: Identify high-intent signals and launch automated email campaigns, personalized sequences, and SDR outreach through CRM and engagement tools. Leverage OpenAI and third-party APIs: Develop tools that generate personalized email and outbound content and automate engagement at scale. Model and visualize GTM data: Write queries and build dashboards to uncover new growth opportunities, optimize email and outbound campaign performance , and measure results. Develop internal tools and scripts: Use Python, SQL, or JavaScript to accelerate workflows and support new GTM experiments across marketing and sales. Maintain and extend GTM integrations: Connect systems like Salesforce, Clay, Apollo, Outreach, and Segment to ensure data flows seamlessly across the GTM stack and powers automated email, outbound, and web engagement workflows.

2–5 years of experience in a data engineering, growth engineering, applied data science, or similar technical role. Fluency in Python and SQL , with bonus points for JavaScript, APIs, and scraping tools like Puppeteer or Playwright. Hands-on experience with GTM and marketing systems like Clay and Salesforce , with an understanding of how data, enrichment, CRM, and automation come together to drive pipeline. Experience with email marketing and automated outreach , with an interest in building systems that personalize and scale engagement. Familiarity with OpenAI’s API and a knack for building tools that automate content creation, personalization, or enrichment. A bias toward speed: the ability to turn ideas into prototypes quickly and a willingness to experiment with new technology. An understanding of GTM motions and excitement about accelerating pipeline generation through smart systems, automation, and data. Comfort thriving in fast-paced, zero-to-one startup environments and owning projects end-to-end.

Be a foundational hire: Opportunity to have outsized impact as the foundational member of the Sales Engineering organization Work with an exceptional team: Join an exceptional team of ~72, including those who have built large-scale enterprise SaaS products at companies like Google, Meta, Salesforce, Pave, Motive, and Square. Build at an inflection point: Suger has strong product-market fit, 300+ customers, and a proven sales motion. Now you’ll have the opportunity to shape the GTM engine that takes us to the next level. Move fast and own your work: We’re a well-funded, fast-moving company with a flat organizational structure and a strong bias toward action. We value autonomy, good judgment, and getting things done over hierarchy and process. Competitive compensation: $120,000 - 180,000/year base salary, plus meaningful equity, comprehensive health benefits, and monthly office stipends.
