The short-term Armenian Studies grant supports international conferences, summer courses, field research, small research projects and other relevant scholarly activity in Armenian Studies broadly defined across politics, sociology, cultural studies, archaeology, history and related social sciences and humanities. The maximum grant is €5,000 and the activity or project may last no more than three months. Applications received by each month-end are evaluated during the first ten days of the following month, with decisions normally communicated within six weeks.
Eligibility requirements
Applicants must be master’s or PhD students, academics or researchers in Armenian Studies seeking a relevant short-term activity or research project. There is no age limit, although preference is given to younger scholars. Researchers in Armenia whose purpose is conference/workshop travel abroad are directed by the Foundation to the separate Armenia-based Conference and Travel Scholarship rather than this route.
