Selected fellows undertake specialized research and study at a participating institution for three to six months, followed by one to three months of internship with the United Nations Division for Ocean Affairs and the Law of the Sea. The programme is designed to strengthen professional capacity in ocean affairs and the law of the sea.
Eligibility requirements
Candidates must be from a developing State, be 25–40 years old, hold a degree in Law, Marine Sciences, Political Science, Ocean Management or related training, have at least five years of work-related experience, and demonstrate capacity for advanced academic research.
