Amazon Now is reinventing how Egypt shops for everyday essentials, delivered in minutes. We are early, we are growing fast, and the business is still being built. That is where you come in.

As Head of Category, you lead an assigned category end to end you own its strategy, its selection, its pricing, its programs, and its results. This is a rare build-from-the-front role: you will own shaping this new business, defining customer needs, how we price it, which programs drive it, and how we automate the work behind it, then turning that into a sharp, converting assortment customers keep coming back to.

  • Stand up the programs and vendor partnerships that unlock category growth
  • Use AI to replace manual, repetitive work with automation and repeatable, measurable process
  • Work against clear targets, measured weekly against the business plan with the autonomy to decide how to hit them
  • Operate as a hands-on owner, not a delegator that is able to deliver results with available resources We are looking for a senior commercial leader who thinks in customer outcomes and unit economics, is energized by ambiguity, and wants to leave a mark on a business that is still being shaped.

Key job responsibilities Key Job Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end performance of your assigned category sales, selection health, margin, and customer experience and be accountable for hitting the business plan
  • Build and own the category strategy and roadmap, and make the trade-off calls between growth, profitability, and customer value
  • Define products we list based on Customer needs, and build the selection strategy from the ground up.
  • Own vendor and brand onboarding to bring in the right assortment at the right terms
  • Own the pricing and promotion framework for the category
  • Design stand up the programs that unlock category growth, and negotiate and execute vendor deals, funding, and joint plans directly
  • AI Automation to replace manual, repetitive category work with automation and repeatable, measurable process you design
  • Own leadership reporting in the set weekly/monthly/quarterly against the plan, surface risks early, and drive the actions that close variance to target
  • Partner closely with Retail, Instock, Operations, Finance, and Marketing to translate category strategy into on-shelf availability, delivery, and customer-facing execution

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience using financial models, KPIs, and data analysis to support business decisions, or experience communicating results to senior leadership
  • Experience completing complex tasks quickly with little to no guidance and react with appropriate urgency to situations that require a quick turnaround, or experience in an operational role
  • Experience with vendor negotiations, pricing and promotion or inventory management
  • Experience managing and negotiating contracts and vendor relationships
  • 5+ years of doing one of several roles: quantitative/financial analysis, retail buying, retail planning & allocation, product/project management, pricing, marketing or e-commerce experience
  • Experience owning end-to-end account or business performance outcomes

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in e-commerce, retail or advertising, or experience in sales/business development
  • Knowledge of data analytics with tools such as Tableau, SQL, Quick-sight
  • Experience using data and metrics to back up assumptions and implement effective solutions
  • 4+ years of stakeholder or account management experience
  • Experience automating a complex process
