<p>We are seeking a Head of Solutions Engineering to lead and grow our technical pre-sales function across the EMEA region. You’ll define how we bring our AI services to customers - from the first discovery conversation to pilot, deployment, and production success.</p> <p>As the regional leader, you’ll hire, mentor, and scale a team of world-class Solutions Engineers &amp; Solution Architects who partner closely with Sales, Product, and Engineering. You’ll set the standard for how we demonstrate technical value, architect customer solutions, and operationalize go-to-market excellence across diverse markets in EMEA.</p> <p>This is a strategic, hands-on leadership role - part player-coach, part builder, and part visionary. You’ll balance tactical deal support with the long-term mission of building a scalable, high-impact GTM organization.</p> <h4>What You’ll Do</h4> <ul> <li>Partner with Sales and regional leadership to drive technical strategy, qualification, and execution for complex deals.</li> <li>Define and operationalize repeatable pre-sales processes, tools, and playbooks to accelerate customer success.</li> <li>Build and lead a world-class Solutions Engineering organization across EMEA — recruiting, mentoring, and enabling a distributed team.</li> <li>Lead the technical discovery, demo, and proof-of-concept lifecycle, ensuring pilots translate into production wins.</li> <li>Represent Scale’s platform and technology capabilities to executives, technical stakeholders, and partners.</li> <li>Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to bring customer insights back into roadmap discussions and feature design.</li> <li>Develop regional enablement programs to ensure consistent technical excellence across the team.</li> <li>Drive key metrics: pilot-to-production conversion, team utilization, revenue influence, and customer adoption.</li> <li>Champion a culture of curiosity, innovation, and accountability, fostering deep AI understanding and go-to-market discipline.</li> <li>Act as a thought leader in the region — representing Scale at industry events, executive briefings, and ecosystem forums.</li> </ul> <h4>What We’re Looking For</h4> <ul> <li>10+ years of experience in Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, or Technical Consulting, with 4+ years in a leadership capacity.</li> <li>Proven experience building and scaling technical pre-sales or customer engineering teams across multiple markets.</li> <li>Strong foundation in cloud architecture, enterprise infrastructure, and API-driven products</li> <li>Hands-on technical ability — comfortable both building prototypes and guiding your team</li> <li>Familiarity with AI/ML technologies, data platforms, and modern model deployment practices</li> <li>Demonstrated executive presence and credibility with both technical and business leaders.</li> <li>Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills, aligning Sales, Product, and Services toward shared outcomes.</li> <li>Commercial and strategic mindset — able to connect technical work to business value and regional go-to-market goals.</li> <li>Experience navigating diverse, fast-evolving markets and driving impact in ambiguous, high-growth environments.</li> <li>Willingness to travel frequently across EMEA to support customers and team members.</li> </ul> <h4>Nice to Have</h4> <ul> <li>Background in AI infrastructure, ML operations, or applied data science.</li> <li>Experience working across enterprise, government, and startup ecosystems.</li> <li>Strong understanding of regional AI, data, and privacy regulations.</li> <li>Prior experience launching new markets or scaling teams during rapid growth.</li> <li>Track record of developing enablement content, demos, and GTM playbooks for technical teams.</li> </ul><div class="content-conclusion"><p><strong><em>PLEASE NOTE:&nbsp;</em></strong><em>Our policy requires a 90-day waiting period before reconsidering candidates for the same role.
