In this important role you will help with a range of direct and non-direct patient care tasks under the direction from the midwives and nurses on the ward, maintaining the department environment to ensure efficient and effective functioning.What you will be doing:General department housekeepingCleaning of delivery rooms, Antenatal/Postnatal rooms and clinic roomsStock reconciliationSupporting our nurses and other members of the healthcare teamClerical duties as requiredYou will need to be able to commit to rotating rostered shifts.Hours of work are Monday to Sunday inclusive, based on rostered shifts including nights and weekends - please note these rostered shifts are not fixed.About Team/Service/LocationThe Maternity Unit at Southland Hospital births around 1200 babies every year and work very closely together with the LMC's to ensure that both mother and baby get the level and type of care that they deserve.
