Participate in and comply with EVR's health and safety programs, procedures and policies Perform routine preventative maintenance and major equipment repairs Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and electronic equipment issues Repair major equipment breakdowns Disassemble, inspect, repair and reassemble engines, transmissions and other major components Diagnose and repair cooling, fuel, exhaust, braking, clutch, differential, hydraulic, electrical and lubrication systems Maintain and repair mobile off-road mining equipment, including haul trucks, graders, bulldozers, excavators, shovels and loaders Prepare maintenance reports and service records Recommend practical and innovative repair solutions Apply industry best practices when maintaining and repairing equipment Work with equipment manufactured by CAT, Komatsu, P&H, Hitachi, John Deere, LeTourneau, Volvo, Marion and other manufacturers Work independently and collaboratively as part of a maintenance team

Valid Interprovincial Red Seal Heavy Duty Mechanic certification or equivalent Valid driver’s license

Experience working with off-road heavy equipment Background in mining, construction, agriculture, forestry, oil & gas, or other heavy industry environments Diesel engine experience will be considered for candidates looking to transition into off-road work

The position is site-based at our operations in the Elk Valley, and the ability to reliably commute to or relocate near Sparwood, B.C. is necessary.
