Overview
Montenegrin legal entities can join eligible already-funded Horizon Europe Pillar II or EIC Pathfinder projects through the 2026 Hop-On Facility.
Complete grant details
The 2026 Hop-On Facility enables a legal entity from a Widening country such as Montenegro to join an already funded Horizon Europe Pillar II or EIC Pathfinder collaborative research and innovation action, subject to the existing consortium's agreement and the call conditions. The Montenegro ministry states an overall call budget of EUR 30 million and an average grant range of EUR 200,000 to EUR 600,000. Institutions should identify an eligible ongoing project, contact its coordinator and prepare the amendment/proposal through the EU Funding & Tenders Portal.
Eligibility requirements
Legal entities from Widening countries, including Montenegro, may join eligible ongoing Horizon Europe Pillar II or EIC Pathfinder projects when the consortium agrees and the action meets the call conditions.
Tips for this grant
Practical Job and Scholarship guidance. These tips do not replace official rules or create new eligibility requirements.
- Check eligibility, funding coverage, study/project level and every required document before investing time in the application.
- Prepare transcripts, references, language tests, proposal/motivation statement and proof documents early.
- Separate the scholarship deadline from any university/program admission deadline; they may be different.
- Treat “fully funded” as a source fact only when the official provider explicitly confirms the covered costs.
Verification notes
Verified against the Government of Montenegro notice and the European Research Executive Agency 2026 Hop-On Facility page. The Montenegro source states a 24 September 2026 deadline and Montenegro's Widening-country eligibility. No closing clock time was stored because the Montenegro notice gives a date only.
Job and Scholarship is the discovery and verification layer. Confirm eligibility, dates, salary/funding and application instructions on the original source before submitting anything.
