Fox Hospital.

Job Description & Responsibilities
- This Nocturnist Hospitalist position is located at A.O. Fox Hospital in Oneonta, NY. The community hospital is licensed for 53 med/surg beds. Subspecialty services are available in Cardiology, General Surgery, Infectious disease, Pulmonary, Orthopedics and a burgeoning telemedicine service including Psychiatry, Palliative Care, and Neurology. Bassett is an EPIC EMR Network
- 155 shifts yearly, opportunity for up to 187 shifts per year; block schedule, typically 7 days on and 7 days off
- Hours are 8:00 PM – 8:00 AM
- Responsible for admitting patients from the ED and nearby hospitals, fielding transfer calls, and cross covering inpatients
- Attend codes and rapid responses with the direct assistance of an in-house (24/7) board-certified Emergency Medicine physician
- Telephone back-up from hospitalist physicians
- Procedural skills preferred but not required
- Fully Integrated EPIC electronic medical record throughout the network
- Must be motivated to tackle challenges and be able to work independently
- Build relationships with other practitioners at A.O. Fox Hospital and within Bassett Healthcare Network
Requirements
- NP or PA
- NYS Licensure
- Previous Inpatient Experience Preferred
- DEA Required
