Job Summary

The Hostess creates a warm and engaging first impression for guests, managing the arrival and seating experience while supporting the smooth flow of restaurant operations. The role combines genuine hospitality, guest recognition, and effective reservation management to deliver a seamless dining experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome and engage guests warmly, creating a positive and personalized arrival experience.
• Manage reservations, seating plans, waitlists, and table allocations to optimize restaurant flow and guest comfort.
• Recognize returning and VIP guests, preferences, and special occasions to support personalized service.
• Communicate accurate waiting times and manage guest expectations professionally during peak periods.
• Coordinate closely with the service and culinary teams to ensure smooth seating and efficient table turnover.
• Respond confidently to guest enquiries regarding menus, outlet offerings, promotions, and hotel facilities.
• Maintain accurate guest and reservation information while ensuring the reception area reflects brand and presentation standards.
• Support guest feedback and service recovery, escalating concerns appropriately when required.

Desired Skills & Competencies

• Diploma or relevant qualification in Hospitality or a related field is preferred.
• 1–2 years of experience in a Hostess, Guest Relations, or customer-facing role, preferably within an upscale hotel or restaurant environment.
• Warm, confident, and engaging communication style with strong guest relations skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage reservations and guest flow effectively.
• Comfortable using restaurant reservation and table management systems.
• Polished, attentive, culturally aware, and composed in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
