HVAC Draftsman

Job Title: HVAC Draftsman Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented HVAC Draftsman to join our MEP construction team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of UAE experience in preparing detailed HVAC shop drawings, coordination drawings, and as-built drawings for MEP projects. This role requires strong technical drafting skills, knowledge of HVAC systems, and familiarity with UAE construction standards and regulations.

The HVAC Draftsman will work closely with engineers, project managers, and other drafting professionals to ensure that all drawings are accurate, coordinated, and submitted on time.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed HVAC shop drawings, coordination layouts, and as-built drawings as per project specifications and standards.
• Review and understand HVAC design drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Ensure drawings are compliant with ASHRAE standards, UAE codes, and local authority requirements.
• Coordinate with other MEP disciplines (plumbing, electrical, fire fighting) to avoid clashes and ensure proper integration.
• Modify and update drawings based on site conditions, engineering changes, and coordination feedback.
• Support project engineers and site teams with drawing-related clarifications.
• Assist in preparing documentation for authority approvals, submissions, and inspections.
• Maintain organized drawing logs and ensure timely submission of required documents.
• Attend coordination meetings when required.

Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of UAE experience in the MEP construction field, specifically in HVAC drafting.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and other drafting tools (knowledge of Revit is a plus).
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems, duct routing, chilled water piping, equipment layouts, etc.
• Familiar with MEP coordination, local authority guidelines (e.g., ADDC, ADM), and industry best practices.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in all drawings.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Salary & Benefits:

• Salary Range: AED 8,000 - 9,000 per month (based on experience and qualifications)
• Additional benefits as per UAE Labor Law (visa, medical insurance, annual leave, etc.)
