The National Health Science Fund’s ageing-research call will award five one-year grants. Each award may include up to ISK 15 million in direct project costs plus up to ISK 5 million in institutional facilities and overhead, for a maximum total contribution of ISK 20 million. Proposals may cover basic research, public-health research or clinical research concerning ageing.

Eligibility requirements

The project leader or principal investigator must have completed research-based studies at an internationally recognized university and must hold a position or have facilities at an Icelandic university or research institution during the grant period. An applicant may lead only one proposal. Expert-panel and board members are excluded from participation.
