Who is Sonar?

Full job description

Who is Sonar? Sonar is driving the future of agent-centric software development. As the leader in AI code verification and governance, we solve a critical problem: ensuring that software generated by AI-assisted developers or autonomous agents is reliable, secure, and maintainable. Integrating seamlessly with Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Gemini, and Devin, we help over 75% of the Fortune 100 build trusted, reliable, compliant software. Customers who use Sonar are 44% less likely to report an outage due to AI-generated code. We believe code verification is the critical missing link in the Agent-Centric Development Cycle (AC/DC). Industry giants like Nvidia, ServiceNow,Booking.com, Goldman Sachs, AstraZeneca, and Ford Motor Company count on us to provide independent, explainable, consistent review and governance of their AI-generated code via products like: SonarQube: The world’s leading AI code review and verification platform. SonarQube Foundation Agent: Currently topping the leaderboards for agentic software repair. SonarSweep & Sonar Context Augmentation: Providing the enterprise-grade context and constraints agents need to be truly effective. Our team operates across global hubs in Austin, Bochum, Dubai, Geneva, London, Singapore, Tokyo, and Washington D.C. We move with a mindset we call CODE: Committed to our customers and community. Obsessed with quality. Deliberate in our decisions. Effective as one team. With over $400M in revenue and profitable, fast-paced growth, we are building the backbone of the AI software revolution. If you’re hungry to have an impact, want to build at a fast pace, and ready to work at the forefront of AI, we want to hear from you.

Position description Sonar is looking for a customer-centric Identity Product Manager to drive the authentication, authorization, and access management capabilities that let every user, from an individual developer to the largest regulated enterprise, get into Sonar products securely and without friction. You will work with the Identity squad, in the Storefront domain, which provides the operational foundation enabling seamless customer access to Sonar's products, underpinning core business processes such as billing and entitlement. This role sits at the intersection of customer experience, security, and compliance. As a Product Manager, you will shape how organizations authenticate into Sonar (SSO via SAML/OIDC, with enterprise identity providers such as Okta and Entra ID), how permissions and roles are managed at scale, and how user and organization identities are provisioned and kept secure throughout their lifecycle. To achieve this, we need a passionate Product Manager who will research, clarify, and prioritize the needs of external IT administrators, security teams, and enterprise buyers, and translate those needs across our product line. You will join the Product Management team, composed of other passionate Product Managers eager to collaborate with you. You will also work closely with the Identity engineering teams to ensure that proposed solutions meet the expected outcome, and that we collectively deliver an identity experience that is both secure by default and simple for administrators to operate at scale. By joining us, you will bring your deep knowledge of identity and access management (SSO, IdP integrations, RBAC/permissions, user provisioning) and your experience as a Product Manager to help us reach the next level and provide a trusted, frictionless experience to millions of developers and thousands of enterprise administrators.

Contribute to the different areas of the Identity vision and communicate about them, internally and externally.

Research, clarify, and prioritize opportunities to build and maintain an effective roadmap, focused on enterprise-grade authentication, authorization, and access management.

Interact directly with our users and customers to support them, integrate their feedback, and identify opportunities.

Develop a deep understanding of enterprise identity needs (e.g., SSO/SAML/OIDC, IdP integrations such as Okta and Entra ID, SCIM/user provisioning, and fine-grained permissions) and how we can enable organizations to onboard and administer users at scale.

Drive modernization of enterprise identity and access management, including expanding IdP support and hardening permissions and role management for the largest, most complex organizations.

Work closely with other product managers to design cross-product features.

Align with the engineering and UX teams on the problems to solve and support them during the end-to-end development stage of the solutions.

Sync with the engineering teams to ensure that there is a good balance between innovation, consolidation, and stability.

Attend conferences and give talks if you like.

Help the Product Management team grow in its organization, tools, and processes.

Passionate about identity and access management, and the practices that lead to seamless and secure authentication systems.

Deep understanding of identity protocols and patterns (e.g., SAML, OIDC/OAuth2, SSO, SCIM/provisioning, JWT) and enterprise identity providers (Okta, Entra ID/Azure AD, or similar).

Technical comprehension of permissions and access control models (RBAC/ABAC) and multi-tenant SaaS access control.

Understanding of the compliance and security expectations of enterprise buyers (e.g., SOC 2) as they relate to identity and access.

Experience with the latest developments in AI assisted coding.

Experience in software product management, preferably managing identity in an agile context.

Highly autonomous and pragmatic, with an obsession for solving external customer problems.

Open-minded and very positive can-do attitude.

Comfortable in dealing with change, complexity, and uncertainty.

Self-confident enough to challenge the status quo as well as to receive feedback.

Leadership: you take initiative and demonstrate your ability to lead a subject from beginning to end.
