Overview

Eligible professionals in Equatorial Guinea can apply through the Embassy of India in Malabo for fully funded ITEC training courses in India across fields including IT, engineering, entrepreneurship, rural development and public-sector capacity building.

Complete scholarship details

The Government of India describes ITEC as a fully funded bilateral assistance programme offering training scholarships to partner countries. The Embassy of India in Malabo directs Equatorial Guinea applicants to choose from current upcoming ITEC courses online. Covered costs include economy-class return airfare, a gratis Indian visa, course fees, institute-provided accommodation, a daily living allowance, required books/training materials, eligible study-tour costs and limited medical treatment for immediate or emergency conditions arising in India. Personal services, pre-existing/chronic-condition costs and other individual expenses are not stated as covered.

Eligibility requirements

The Equatorial Guinea route is for officials and professionals working in public or private sectors, universities, chambers of commerce and industry and other eligible organisations. Applicants must meet the selected course's academic requirements, normally be 25–45 years old, have working English, have at least five years of work experience and be medically fit. The Embassy states that people who previously participated in ITEC or received another Government of India-funded scholarship are not eligible.

Tips for this scholarship

Practical Job and Scholarship guidance. These tips do not replace official rules or create new eligibility requirements.

  1. Choose an eligible course from the ITEC portal's Upcoming Courses list and select Equatorial Guinea as the country.
  2. Complete the online form early enough to finish Embassy and Ministry nomination steps; the Embassy recommends submission preferably three months before the course starts.
  3. Check eligibility, funding coverage, study/project level and every required document before investing time in the application.
  4. Prepare transcripts, references, language tests, proposal/motivation statement and proof documents early.
  5. Separate the scholarship deadline from any university/program admission deadline; they may be different.
  6. Treat “fully funded” as a source fact only when the official provider explicitly confirms the covered costs.

Verification notes

Verified on the Embassy of India in Malabo ITEC page updated 31 August 2026. The page instructs Equatorial Guinea applicants to select a current upcoming course and says the completed nomination package should preferably reach the Embassy about three months before that course begins. Because deadlines vary by course and no single applicant closing date is stated, no deadline is invented.
