Inpatient Audit Specialist PRN

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Inpatient Audit Specialist PRN based in the United States. This is a fully remote opportunity for an experienced inpatient coding and auditing professional supporting healthcare organizations with high-quality, compliant coding practices. You will conduct facility inpatient coding audits across onboarding, focused reviews, service-level agreements, and other specialized engagements. The role combines detailed chart review with clear, evidence-based recommendations and coder education. You will work with MS-DRG and APR-DRG methodologies while identifying coding opportunities, discrepancies, and areas for improvement. Success requires strong judgment, excellent query-writing abilities, and the ability to manage multiple cases while maintaining accuracy and turnaround expectations. This PRN position offers a flexible schedule, with a preference for approximately 20 hours per week, and spinal auditing experience is a plus. You will also contribute to a collaborative, service-oriented environment focused on coding excellence, compliance, and continuous professional development.
