Job Description Summary
The OSS Manager (I&LES) leads the end-to-end execution of Inspection and Life Extension Services for power generation equipment across the MEA region. This is a senior-level position responsible for overseeing a complex, highly mobile, and specialized workforce. You will be the central authority for resource deployment, ensuring that the right skills are matched to the right outages across a complex, highly mobile, and specialized team while driving on-site accountability for EHS, quality, and productivity. The core mandate of this role is the end-to-end management, planning, and optimization of our technical workforce.

Key Responsibilities
- Operational Execution: Own the preparation, execution, and closeout of I&LES repair projects. Ensure technical adherence to repair scopes and drive on-time delivery.
- Regional Resource Management: Optimize crew composition by matching employee skills, availability, and performance data to job requirements. Monitor bench costs, utilization, and training statuses to drive productivity.
- People Lifecycle Management: Manage the full employee journey for the field team, including performance evaluations, career pathing, training requirements, and talent development reviews. Resolve daily personnel needs, conflicts, and mobilization concerns as the primary point of contact.
- Talent & Development: Recruit, hire, and manage performance for field personnel. Partner with Training Managers to coordinate career development and ensure EHS compliance/certification currency.
- EHS & Quality Oversight: Act as the primary driver for on-site EHS and Quality compliance. Conduct site audits, lead EHS stand-downs, and oversee the resolution of technical issues during outages.
- Resource Strategy: Develop short and long-range resource plans based on regional outages. Partner with internal stakeholders (Service Leaders, Immigration, EHS) to ensure team readiness, mobilization, and equipment logistics.
- Customer & Stakeholder Management: Serve as the single point of contact for outage planning and issue escalation. Manage relationships with both internal customers (Service Leaders) and external site stakeholders.
- Continuous Improvement: Analyze post-outage data and customer feedback to drive cost-reduction initiatives and improve future satisfaction.
- Commercial Support: Act as the technical voice of the field in commercial discussions. Support Sales teams by providing technical scopes, estimates for potential opportunities, and insights into future service needs identified during inspections.
Required Characteristics
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (or equivalent professional experience in field services/maintenance).
- Minimum 7 years of experience in Field Services, Service Center repairs, Resource Management, Operations Management, or power generation maintenance.
- Strong English proficiency (written and spoken).
- Ability and willingness to travel across the MEA region (up to 20% as required by outage seasons).
Desired Characteristics:
- Proven experience in project management and/or site leadership for large-scale rotating equipment outages.
- Deep technical understanding of I&LES, including NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) and Robotic or boroscopic inspection
- Turbine and Generator inspection & Repair Experience
- Prior experience managing cross-cultural, remote, or international teams within the MEA region.
- Strong financial acumen (budget ownership, cost-out strategies, and billing processes).
- Demonstrated ability to work in a matrix organization, influencing peers and external partners.
- LEAN or Six Sigma certification/experience.
- Excellent interpersonal, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills.
