Full job description
The consultant advises the WHO Representative on purchasing, coordinates procurement plans, reviews requests for compliance, manages procurement and logistics resources, maintains supplier data, monitors orders and deliveries through Oracle/GSM and business-intelligence tools, follows shipments and customs clearance, supports the local purchase committee and evaluates supplier performance.
Requirements & qualifications
A bachelor-level degree in logistics management, logistics, public administration or business management is required. At least two years of national and international experience in emergency logistics and supply operations in international institutions or organizations is required, including humanitarian emergency support. Excellent French and practical English are required. A transport, distribution or supply-chain qualification is desirable, as is prior WHO/UN or international humanitarian experience.
