Applications are open for the International Machine Learning Competition 2026 . The International Machine Learning Competition (IMLC) is an international competition where students learn how machine learning really works by solving problems, from the basics to current research.
Today, machine learning is behind most of what is called AI: everyone uses these systems, but few people learn how a model is trained, why it makes the predictions it does, and when it breaks. IMLC gives students the chance to explore this field beyond what the typical school curriculum offers, and to compete with students from all over the world. No prior experience is needed to start.
Benefits
The prizes and awards are worth a total of $1,500 USD.
International Recognition: All participants receive official digital certificates, with top-performing students earning international distinctions.
International Awards: Outstanding participants receive international awards and official recognitions.
National Awards: The best participants from each country receive national awards.

If you are currently between high school and university (e.g., gap year) and plan to start university any time soon, you are also eligible to participate.
Application
You can submit your solution to the Qualification Round 2026 and participate in this year’s edition of the International Machine Learning Competition. If you have not yet solved the problems, please solve them and come back here to submit your solution. The submission deadline is Sunday, 13 December 2026, 23:59 UTC+0.
