Application Process and required documents
All GJU Bachelor students are to spend their fourth year in Germany. They study for one semester in one of GJU’s partner Universities, while spending the second semester doing an obligatory internship (“Studentisches Pflichtpraktikum”) of at least 20 weeks full time with a German company.
Students are responsible to find an internship opportunity on their own. However, the International Affairs Department (contact: IO.Internship.Team@gju.edu.jo) and the GJU Project Office in Magdeburg (contact: support.gy@german-jordanian.org) provide students with assistance and support in all issues related to their practical training.

Upload Internship contract on MyGJU
It’s very important to upload your internship contract on MYGJU and receive the approval from internship team at IAD before starting your internship. You have to upload your signed internship contract (signed by you and by the company) and all the information regarding your placement on your MyGJU system, then the internship team will check, if your internship fits the criteria (e.g., internship duration, fulltime, the tasks of the internship) and verify your internship accordingly within the system.

Required documents after the Internship
After the student finishes the German Year, the internship certificate and report should be uploaded in MyGJU latest within two months of the next semester or in accordance with the deadlines for graduation for graduating students:
